I love when people have this pensive look. I had only little time to take this shot. Most people look better when they don't know they're getting photographed in my opinion.

I agree with you, ppl look better when they dont know, your photo is very good i like every thing here, the reflexes, colors, DOF.

Realy nice! Also since you had very little time. One of my solutions would be to take as many pice you can and maybe one might turn out good. haha But I don't have an automatic SLR. So I can't do that as quick. haha
I also realy agree with your idea of capturing people with the pensive look. It makes it more real. It actually makes it feel as if the camera was not there and you were an observing invisible person. Very well done.
