Description

Lazise, Italy, just before it began to rain ;-)
Too bad the little boat is barely visible...

Hope you like it!

Oh, man. You got my +10 and a fav for this one. Excellent snap. No crits...just love on this one.

Edited to add: I think that if it were any lighter you would lose the overall mood. Sure, you be able to see the boats and some more finite details...but thats not the point of this scene. This scene IS the point...and its wonderful.

mol, thanks! :)
I first tried to play with levels to bring out the boats, but as you sayd that would not be good for the mood. Too few contrast for the boats...

(excuse my english *g*)

nice shot... like painting.... in a large majority of similar photos the sky is too havy and effect is not very interesing, but on this is require... i propose so u can groove sharpnes, thise move give them more extra deep... below cloud i find some boats... expose this... make more detailed...

Andrzej, thanks for your comment. As for the boats it would be necessary going into photo manipulation as these are dark boats on dark background. :

I really don't think bringing out the boats would have been construed as photo manipulation. It would not have changed the context of the photo any more than removing a scratch or a sun spot. Now if you had added other layers, or exposures to the work that, to me, would be a manip. I also would have liked to view the boats, just a bit of dodge to the boats wouldn't have altered the beauty of the photo, it would have added an additional focus.
